Before use, please read precautions and warnings carefully.
Before waxing - For best results and the smoothest finish, make sure that the hair to be removed is at least 2-5mm long for the wax to grip effectively. Clean your skin with Pre-Wax Gel, skin must be cool, dry, and free from body oils or creams. For best results use the Pre-Wax Gel on cotton wool to clean. Allow to dry. DO A TEST PATCH BEFORE EVERY WAXING TO ENSURE WAX IS NOT TOO HOT.
Microwave: Remove any front peel off stickers and the seal from the roller head, place cartridge upright on a sheet of paper in the microwave. Follow the microwave instruction carefully. Do not leave cartridge unattended while heating and check every 30 seconds. CAUTION: Microwave ovens vary considerably, and times given are only an indication therefore, while heating, interrupt to see how warm the wax is. IMPORTANT: The heating times must be reduced according to the proportion of wax used i.e., a half-filled applicator will take a shorter time to heat. Do a test patch before every waxing to ensure wax is not too hot. Never wax wet or damp skin.
Application: To start new rollers flowing smoothly prior to waxing, remove cartridge from microwave and turn upside down. Wait a few seconds to allow air bubbles to rise and wax to flow into the roller head. The wax must be in a liquid form before it is ready to use. IMPORTANT: Apply and remove one patch at a time. Hold cartridge by the sides at a 45-degree angle. Roll on direction of hair growth. Do not roll back and forth. One thin coat is all that is necessary. Do not squeeze cartridge. Apply wax remover strip and rub briskly in the direction of hair growth. With one hand, hold skin taught. With the other pull off the strip in the opposite direction to hair growth. Pulling strip straight up and/or slowly may irritate skin and break hair rather than remove the roots and may leave a wax residue.
After waxing: Apply Post Wax Soothing Lotion. It will close the pores and leave your skin feeling soft and cool. If any residue remains on your skin, re-apply the remover strip, rub firmly and remove as usual. Do not remove wax by washing with water. Results last 6-8 weeks.
To clean roller heads: After the waxing session, apply any alcohol-based solvent to a dishwashing cloth or gauze and wipe roller while it is still hot. Cleaning of rollers is very important if you will be using the wax for second time.
For best results do a test patch before every waxing session to ensure the wax is not too hot. Underarms and bikini line are especially sensitive areas, it would be wise to perfect your waxing technique before waxing these areas.
Do not wax over acne, razor cuts, sunburnt skin, moles, varicose veins, warts, eczema or other skin ailments. If an area needs re-waxing, do this only when the skin has cooled down otherwise burning could occur. Do not wax repeatedly over the same area as this could cause bruising. Do not have a hot bath just before or after you wax. Do not expose waxed areas to harsh sunlight, hot water or deodorant for at least 12 hours after use. Use a loofah between waxes to stop the dead skin from building up and causing ingrown hairs. Keep skin well moisturised.
Consult your physician before waxing if you are pregnant, have varicose veins, diabetes, phlebitis or any skin disorders. PROBLEM SOLVING SKIN WAS LEFT TEMPORARILY RED SWOLLEN DISCOLOURED OR IRRITATED. Slight irritation is normal and will disappear shortly. More than slight irritation may mean that: Wax Remover Strip was pulled straight up and not parallel to skin. Skin was not held taught when pulling off strip. Waxing was done too soon after bathing or showering. A test patch was not done first to determine the extent of sensitivity to waxing. This could be a sign of high acid content. Take an anti-acid 1 – 1.5 hours before waxing to eliminate this problem. Hair or wax was not removed. Hair was too short to wax. Strip was pulled off too slowly, rather than removed in one quick motion parallel to the skin. Skin was not properly cleansed or thoroughly dry. Wax was not applied in direction of hair growth, or strip was not pulled off in the opposite direction. Too much wax was applied. WAIT 24 HOURS BEFORE RE-WAXING THE SAME AREA, IF WAX DID NOT ROLL OUT SMOOTHLY AND EVENLY Wax was not warm enough. Air bubbles must be allowed to rise before applying wax. Cartridge was not rolled in proper direction or at a proper angle. Room temperature may have been too cold. DISCLAIMER: Faulty or damaged microwave ovens can distribute heat unevenly, which may result in damage to the container. Please ensure careful examination of the container and roller head after heating for the first time, prior to use. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
